The Nepenthes of Borneo (31 species) are one of the world's most remarkable groups of plants. They trap and eat animals, provide homes for others, and even make convenient day-time roosting sites for bats! Few plants can boast such a variety of bizarre features, but the Nepenthes of Borneo don't stop there, for there are many other facets of their biology which we still know very little about. On top of that, their home is the steaming tropical rain forests of Borneo: on the summits of mountains, high up in the tops of trees, or even by the sides of roads in major towns.
