Hi Carol,
I got curious about the woman in the stamp you shared. Went to wiki and there I learned about her more. Noor-un-Nisa Inayat Khan was an Allied SOE agent during the Second World War who was posthumously awarded the George Cross, the highest civilian decoration in the United Kingdom and other Commonwealth nations. As an SOE agent during the Second World War, she became the first female radio operator to be sent from Britain into occupied France to aid the French Resistance. Inayat Khan was 30 years old when she was killed in action.
I checked out on online stamp catalogue I usually visit and found the same stamp of Noorunissa Inayat Khan. It was issued in March 25, 2014, entitled Remarkable Lives – 100th Birth Anniversaries.
